Who is finger farms ?
Finger Farms was purchased in 1914 by our Grandfather, Sam Finger. We have since added an additional 47 acres, for a total of 135 acres for Jiggs Bermuda hay production. During most of its existence it was for private use. In 2005, of the 167 acres, 88 acres were converted to Jiggs Bermuda hay by grandson, Alan Finger. Members of the Finger Family are well known in the Houston area for businesses in real estate, banking, furniture, wholesale fabrics, and medicine. One of the brothers, Bernice Finger, continued to live in Shepherd where he operated the general merchandise store, started by our Grandfather, Sam.
